Bingley Voluntary Action (B.V.A.) is an independent Voluntary Organisation and Registered Charity, and a Company Limited by Guarantee, managed by a voluntary Board of Directors. B.V.A. serves the community in the many ways.

Through research, and liaison work, B.V.A. aims to identify and respond to local need, by helping the community to develop local solutions to meet that need, in partnership with all local statutory organisations. Acts as a local development agency in promoting local voluntary action.

New Projects, Groups and Ideas

Help, advice and support can be given to anyone wishing to get a new idea or project off the ground. We are also able to offer advice on fundraising. B.V.A. has a computerised Fund-finder program available to Groups.

Local Voice

B.V.A. can act as a voice for the local community in many areas, including Community Care Issues. We also offer support to any group wishing to have representation at district-wide meetings, neighbourhood forums, etc.

 
 
   Current Projects

Befriending Scheme
For some people a simple trip to the shops can be as daunting as scaling Mount Everest and being alone can become a way of life.

This is one reason Bingley Voluntary Action and Age Concern have joined forces to create the Befriending and Volunteer Project.
